What is a Gift SMS?

Gift SMS™ is gift voucher sent to a Mobile phone in the form of a SMS.

Where can I redeem a Gift SMS™ Voucher?

We have provided quality and reputable retailers and online stores that use our Gift SMS™ Management System. These will be updated from time to time as more retailers will come on board with us.

What stores will accept a Gift SMS™ Voucher?

In the browse gifts section of our website you can click the 'Know More' Button above the Retailer Brand Name, it will provide you a description of the Retailer, Voucher values available and a list of the participating stores.


What does a Gift SMS™ look like?

A Gift SMS™ consists of 2 or 3 messages depending on the phone type.

      1. Contains the Voucher information, amount, G code and the store to redeem the Voucher.

      2. Contains a personal message from the sender ie. Happy Birthday,Merry Christmas. Also contains a sms code which can be used to query your voucher through our website.

      3. A barcode SMS which can be redeemed instead of the G code ( depends on retailer technology at the POS)

What is a G code?

A G code is our word for voucher number, this is the unique 7-digit number you will relay to the POS attendant when redeeming your Gift SMS™ in store.


Who Can Send and Receive the Gift SMS™Voucher?

Anyone can send a Gift SMS™ Voucher world wide through www.giftsms.com.au, except the receiver must have a valid Australian mobile number.


How Do I Send a Gift SMS™?

It's easy log on to www.giftsms.com.au click on Browse Gifts, Personalise your voucher, select the time of

delivery and send it.

Personalising the Gift SMS™ Voucher?

You can personalise the Voucher with a personal message of upto 100 characters which will be sent alongside the Gift SMS™ Voucher.

Selecting the Time of Delivery?

You can select the time of delivery at the bottom of the Personalise voucher page.

Can I send multiple Gift SMS Vouchers at the same time?

Yes, after you have selected a gifting partner and personalised the voucher and are at the check out, just click t he button 'Continue gifting' it will save your previous Gift SMS™ in the basket and allow you to go back and repeat the process as many times as you like. Come back to your basket and send them all at once and in 1 payment transaction.

How do I pay for the Gift SMS™ Voucher?

We accept all major credit cards or you can pay with Pay Pal.

Are there any additional charges for sending a Gift SMS Voucher?

Yes, there is a small convenience charge it is only $2.95, there are no other costs involved.

Signing Up

I have not received the verification SMS upon registering?

  • There can sometimes be a delay of a few minutes to a few hours in receiving SMS
    (depending on the 3rd party SMS server). So kindly wait for sometime before taking any
    further action.


  • Please verify if you have entered the correct mobile number while registering.

  • If you have not entered the correct mobile number then please re-submit the correct
    mobile number and wait for a few moments.

  • If there is an undue delay then please send out an email to support@giftsms.com.au
    with your details i.e Your Name and Email Id. We shall verify and get back to you as soon
    as we can.


        I have not received the activation link upon registering?

  • .Sometimes email delivery can be delayed depending on the 3rd party Email server.

    So kindly wait for sometime before taking any further action.

  • Please verify if you have entered the correct email id while registering .

  • If you have not entered the correct email id, then please begin the registration process
    again with the correct email id.

  • If there is an undue delay then please send out an email to support@giftsms.com.au
    with your details i.e Your Name and Email Id. We shall verify and get back to you as soon
    as we can.

How do I edit my profile?

Please login to My Account, on the left hand panel click 'My Profile' then click edit. You can change all you information here.

I cant change my mobile number when I edit my profile?

Yes, that is right. For security reasons we require you to verify your mobile number again. Please email support@giftsms.com.au providing your email id and mobile phone number and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

How do I change my password?

Please login to My Account on the left hand side you will see change password under My Account panel.

Sending

How do I know if my Gift SMS™ and transaction has been processed?

  • If the payment went through successfully you will be directed to a Voucher confirmation page displaying the voucher details and transaction ID number..

  • You will also receive an email from us acting as a receipt with a Transaction ID and payment details.


How do I know if the recipient has received the Gift SMS™ Voucher?

  • As soon as the recipient received the Gift SMS™ Voucher, you will receive an email with Gift SMS Delivery Notification, confirming successful delivery to the recipient.


Where can you view the details of all sent Gift SMS's?

When you register with Gift SMS™, an account gets created for you. You can access
your account through My Account, where you can view the details of all vouchers sent and
received. You can also edit your profile here.



Received

I have accidentally deleted my Gift SMS™ Voucher from my mobile phone?

Gift SMS can resend you lost or deleted Voucher.

  • When you log in to My Account, you can see all details of your vouchers purchased, received and sent ( you must be registered to use this feature)

  • Click on Received Vouchers.

  • Check the box next to lost voucher and then click Report Lost.

  • Enter your mobile number.

If your voucher has not been redeemed we will resend the voucher within 48 hours otherwise email support@giftsms.com.au and we will get back to you as soon as we can.

Do have to pay to retrieve my Lost or Deleted Gift SMS™?

No, it is free for lost and deleted voucher resending.
